Divine Mysteries!
Interestingly, mysteries, as defined in the New Testament, includes the promises and works of the Holy Spirit, in the everyday life of those living in Christ. And many of these mysteries, are indeed revealed, to the children of God through prayer and sincere discernment, as they're seeking the truth, in all things. Using pure and righteous discernment, is of great significance to ones salvation. Discernment is key in disciplining ones thoughts. For even our thoughts will be judged on that great day of Judgment! We can discern that, by recognizing that Ludifer in Isaiah 14:12-14 was judged and removed from the presence of God for saaying in his heart, ..."I will", five times! Seeking his will over the will of God. At that point in time, the bible does not mention Lucifer of doing anything else, but having self-centered thoughts, apart from the will of God.
Isaiah 14:12-14 NKJV “How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, You who weakened the nations! [13] For you have said in your heart: ‘I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation On the farthest sides of the north; [14] I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High.’
Also consider this, Jesus said that one that lusts, is already guilty of that sin, even though the act was never committed.
Matthew 5:28 NKJV But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
Also consider all the unclean works of the flesh that is worthy death, take note that not only those that do so wickedly but also those that approve! There again, those approving the wicked acts, of the flesh, are also worthy death!
Romans 1:28-32 NKJV And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; [29] being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, [30] backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, [31] undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful; [32] who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.
The good news is, the bible provides us with a great guideline to use, when we are discipling our thoughts, of the flesh. And attached is a great promise!! And that guideline is found in Philippians 4:8-9 NKJV ..."Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. [9] The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.
Indeed, I believe every one that takes claim to Christ should have this verse put to memery! When it is in your heart, it sure helps in our everyday living and all the thoughts we privately entertain.
Mysteries as used in scripture
Consider this, Jesus used the word mysteries when speaking of the mysteries of the Kingdom of God and the mysteries of the Kingdom of heaven. The apostles spoke of a mystery that was kept secret since the world began, also the mystery of the gospel, and the glory of this mystery, as well as the mystery of Christ. When you think of it, there's just something about that word that has a way of grabbing our attention! A deeper study of the Scriptures will show that the word mystery was used twenty two times and the word mysteries was used five time, (King James and New King James version bibles) all in the New Testament. I've not found either word in Old Testament Scriptures. So there must of been a special reason why Jesus and His disciples used this word, considering it mostly dealt with the fulfillment of the new covenant of which is the theme of New Testament Scriptures. However, there is one time where the apostle Paul wrote about the mystery of lawlessness. Interestingly, I believe even today, those divine mysteries are being revealed, individually, to those that seek for them, in all sincerity and prayer. And when the divine precepts of God are being revealed, through Christ, these revelations become personal treasures, for they will know Whom it was, that made it known to them. The apostle Paul wrote that the Holy Scriptures (the original writings of the Old Testament Scriptures that were translated into today's bible) was written under the inspiration of God. Common since can teach us, then understanding must also come under the inspiration of God. This in itself is a mystery how this understanding and the passing of this knowledge to them, becomes the very foundation to one's personal relationship with God, through Christ. As Jesus spoke in truth, My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. 28 And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. John 10:27-28 (NKJV)
On the down side, when one goes to a corporate church to learn church doctrine or seek understanding to their questions from their pastor or even a friend, even if what they are told is absolutely the truth, their relationship will be strengthened, but unfortunately, not with God, but rather with whomever they've placed their trust to believe. Yes, I believe that some of the things in the bible is hard to understand, and I'm not sure how anyone could say, in this life, that they fully understand everything in the bible. I've been studying for over 30 years and most of the time while studying, I'm still learning and the things I learn, I write down and keep documented for they are truly a treasure to me. The revelations that come from God is similar to food, as one grows in the knowledge of God, their heart also grows closer and closer to Him. And this is when one can say in their own heart, in all truth, that yes!, they do know the love they have for the Lord. I might add that revelations are not limited to just reading the bible, God can use many other things, even our observations in things of our everyday living can sometimes be applied in revealing Spiritual reasoning. Indeed, the personal revelations of the Spiritual Mysteries of God are a wonderful blessing which can also be a comforting assurance of one’s relationship with God
The bible teaches us not to lean on our own understanding. And that is an Old Testament scripture, written before that Day of Pentecost, when God fulfilled His promise of pouring out of His Spirit upon all flesh. After that Day of Pentecost, there is a new covenant, in which we are instructed to lean upon our understanding that is provided through Christ.
1 John 2:27 NKJV But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him.
There is a big difference from our understanding and the divine understanding that comes from God through His Holy Spirit, the Spirit of all truth. However, those that do not have a submissive heart before God, will not have that divine understanding and will never experience nor recognize the richness that is found in what Christ Jesus does within those that are His. This is truly a mystery how our heart and our decisions have such eternal significance.
To me, it's questionable if any spiritual belief that is formed apart from the Holy Spirit is going to be the complete truth. However, it may appear as truth, especially to those that support that belief, because, right or wrong, most of us believe in what aligns best with what we want to believe. A good philosophy one might want to include in their beliefs, would be the challenging of all biblical theology that has been past down generation after generation as truth, making sure, does it really align with all truth, according to biblical Scriptures. For traditionally taught teachings are not exempt from being deceptive, especially over time. When Jesus was making provision for the baptism of the Holy Spirit, the Promise of the Father, He said..., "Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven..Matthew 18:3
The conversion process begins with, first opening ones' heart for divine learning, comparatively to the innocence of a child, this submission to God, opens the door to His Spirit, the Holy Spirit, which then can be manifested in one's personal life. But be aware, the pool of the deceived and deceivers, with many appearing godly, and many credentialed, is huge. For "many", do not support the belief that the anointed teaching of the Holy Spirit can be active in their own personal lives, leading them into all truth. Instead being quite content and comfortable with placing their trust in the beliefs that are in agreement with the "many", as Jesus pointed out: for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it.
Matthew 7:13 (NKJV) And by placing one's trust in man, "many" will never see the kingdom of God. Not in this life nor in the eternal life to come. Therefore, placing ones trust in the theology of man, especially those with credentials and looked upon as godly, take a huge risk of being deceived, without ever knowing it. Think about it, will the deceived know they're deceived? The apostle Paul prophesied ...Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. 13 But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.2 Tim 3:12-13 (NKJV)
However, for those that are willing to submit to God with a sincere heart, will also find a love for the truth, and with an obedient heart, that love for the truth, all truth, will lead them to their everlasting life with God through Christ, beginning the very day of their conversion.
Please take this Scripture to Heart! These things I have written to you concerning those who try to deceive you. 27. But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him.1 John 2:26-27
The Holy Scriptures clearly teaches, that if we place our trust in the Holy Spirit of God, we will be given truth. Jesus made it very clear who is to be our teacher, please take this to heart too! But you, do not be called 'Rabbi'; for One is your Teacher, the Christ, and you are all brethren. 9 Do not call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven. 10 And do not be called teachers; for One is your Teacher, the Christ. Matt 23:8-10 (NKJV) As the inspired Scripture promises, anyone can be taught and inspired through the anointing of Christ, both in our own personal life and in our time of fellowship with others,
Just as it's very important to believe and understand how, through Christ, the anointing of God, we can be taught and inspired by God through His Spirit. We also need to be able to recognize and discern the truth that has been divinely revealed to others. This indeed is a great mystery, (Colossians 1:27) both in our own personal life but also in finding fellowship with our fellow brethren. When God reveals His presence in our own personal life, that is indeed a precious treasure. And when this happens, our eyes are opened to the same anointing that's been given others. This is why it is so important for Satan, to find a way to deceive, in such a way, in keeping the relationship between God and man, hidden and unknown. Through man, Satan has inserted many doctrinal teachings that does just that, and at the same time deceiving the many into thinking they are saved. For those that do not know or are deceived about this relationship, including many that are credentialed, will never experiencing the richness of Christ in them, and most likely, will never reach that spiritual discernment of knowing what is being taught through Christ vs. what is only the opinions of man. And through various teaching and false doctrines, that are found pleasing to man, Satan has achieved many victories. However those in Christ will not be deceived, for they have been given the truths of God through His Spirit! And this wonderful free gift, the Promise of the Father, was given to all people, of all nations, on that great Day of Pentecost, as recorded in the book of Acts. Today, in the family of God, we need to keep in mind, receiving the blessings and gifts of God, no one stands above another, for we're all simply brethren! What a wonderful gift, God in us, through Christ!
Consider the words of the prophet Jeremiah. Thus says the Lord: "Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength, whose heart departs from the Lord. Jeremiah 17:5.
What this verse says to me is this; you can not do both, either you place your trust in the teaching of man or you place your trust in God and His anointing, Who is true and is not a lie and just as He has taught you, you will abide in Him. These are those that are in Christ, seeking the Spiritual Mysteries that revealed in the anointing of Christ. The only one way to get back to the basic truths of God is through seeking truth with a most sincere heart and prayer with an open heart for God's divine Holy Spirit, the resource for all truth.
A personal message for all of us, today! See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, 16. redeeming the time, because the days are evil. 17. Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is. Ephesians 5:15
Always seeking that which is divinely revealed through Christ, always aligning with Scripture, sharing what we feel the Lord has given us through His Spirit, patterning our fellowship after the instructions given to the early church. Let two or three prophets speak, and let the others judge. 30. But if anything is revealed to another who sits by, let the first keep silent. 31. For you can all prophesy one by one, that all may learn and all may be encouraged. 1 Corinthians 14:29 Therefore anyone is warmly welcomed that would like to join with us in this fellowship for as the apostle Paul stated, that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ. 1 John 1:3
As for those interested in being included in this fellowship, having questions such as, where do we meet or what to wear? The answer to that is, wear what is comfortable. Any other questions feel free to call or text, Wayne Eck - 316-204-0897 (See contact page for more about this fellowship.)
2 Timothy 2:7. Consider what I say, and may the Lord give you understanding in all things.
